Best is Yet to Come Series - Hike #3

Because who doesn't love a good road walk? Haha! While many of us seek out a good trail, FNST thru-hikers endeavor to complete the entire 1500+ miles in one trip. Pretty impressive, considering this is a network of trails, many connected by roads and highways... The Best is Yet to Come Series includes 8 different hikes covering about 90 continuous miles in the Panhandle Region, including the road walks! So, Hike #3 is about 10 miles of road walk from Hillcrest Baptist Church (one of the first hostels for hikers in our region) to the Scott Road Trailhead. Let's do this! We will meet at Scott Rd TH at 8 am and carpool to our starting point at Hillcrest Baptist on CR 274. Sorry, no pets allowed for this series. Please hydrate and nourish BEFORE the hike as well as during. Bring plenty of water, electrolytes, snacks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, and anything else you may require for a 10-ish mile road walk. We will play Hiker Trivia along the way with cool prizes for the winner(s). Rugged trail is promised on the next in this series, and the best is yet to come!
