The Copper Collar 5K takes its name from the iconic copper collars worn by hardhat divers, honoring the pioneers of underwater exploration and the diving heritage preserved at the Man in the Sea Museum. As runners make their way through downtown Panama City, they'll be celebrating both our region's maritime history and the spirit of community that makes Bay County special. Proceeds from this event help support the Man in the Sea Museum, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving diving history, inspiring future generations through STEM education, and sharing the story of underwater exploration with visitors from around the world.
