ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Captain Phillip Brady, a respected 46-year-old harbor pilot and USMMA graduate, died after falling from the pilot ladder of the MV LOWLANDS LUCK near St. Andrews Pass; the incident remains under investigation and he is survived by his fiancée and two children. WJHG
- ➤ Bay County Sheriff’s Office released body-camera footage from the ZooWorld fire on Thursday morning, and the blaze resulted in the death of six lemurs (Pluto, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury). WJHG

- ➤ The Bay County Library will host a free presentation on John Clark, Soldier, Statesman and Pioneer by Bob Hurst on Monday, Jan. 26 at 6 pm where the Historical Society honors the patriot who first settled St. Andrews. Seating is limited so arrive early. Bay County Coastal

- ➤ Bay District Schools posted a record-high graduation rate of 93.8% for the 2024-2025 school year—second highest in northwest Florida and above the state average. Leaders credit a team effort and pledge to push until every student walks the stage. WJHG
