- ➤ Panama City commissioners accelerated plans to reconstruct the St. Andrews Marina bulkhead — using Hurricane Michael recovery funds — and will put 44 new boat slips out to bid as work proceeds in phases. The project was originally scheduled for 2031. WJHG
- ➤ Walton County Commissioners unanimously renamed the stretch of Hwy 90 from Lancelot Road to Oakridge Way as Deputy William May Memorial Highway — honoring the deputy killed last April while on duty. WJHG
- ➤ Panama City Beach will enforce new spring break rules—effective Mar. 1—for the entire month to manage visitor conduct during the busy season. Panama City News Herald
- ➤ Panama City commissioners met Tuesday, Feb. 10 (just yesterday) to discuss lowering membership fees at the new MLK Recreation Center, and they plan an income-based sliding scale to keep the facility affordable with a proposal to be presented soon. WJHG
