- ➤ FPL volunteers cleaned and landscaped The Arc of the Bay grounds in Lynn Haven on Feb. 17, 2026, as part of the Power & Care Week, supporting services for adults with disabilities. Their work boosted community pride and helped enhance the nonprofit’s property. Panama City News Herald
- ➤ Florida Power and Light volunteers helped The Arc of the Bay with yard work, power washing sheds and cars on Tuesday during Power to Care Week. The volunteer work aimed to reduce costs so more funds can be reinvested in the organization’s operations. WJHG
- ➤ The Warrior Beach Retreat Parade & Ceremony will be held soon along Warrior Beach in Panama City to mark a local celebration of heritage. Officials expect to share further details on the schedule and gathering points later. WJHG

- ➤ Art professor Tammy Marinuzzi will open her photo exhibit '9,514 Miles: Walk, Witness, Connect' at The Light Room downtown on Feb. 21. - ➤ Local hospitality leaders, including CEOs (and other business professionals), shared insights with hospitality management and tourism students at Gulf Coast State College on Tuesday, Feb. 17 during an interactive event. WJHG
- ➤ Bay District Schools will offer free EKG screenings for student athletes, mandatory for incoming ninth graders, from mid-April until the end of May in partnership with PanCare (and Who We Play For). Appointments and necessary paperwork are required to participate. WJHG

- ➤ St. Andrews State Park earned a No. 8 ranking on Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for Best Beaches in the U.S. today (marking its 75th anniversary) following facility upgrades that benefit visitors in Bay County. WJHG

- ➤ Panama City began a thirty-day warning period for its new RedSpeed photo enforcement system in school zones to slow speeding & protect students; full enforcement with $100 violations will start March 23, with funds supporting the school crossing guard program. City of Panama City
