- ➤ Walton County expects an influx of Spring Break visitors and the sheriff’s office is preparing safety measures, as explained by Chief Deputy Dustin Cosson. Preparations began early this year to keep everyone sunny and safe. WJHG
- ➤ Bay County Animal Control is waiving adoption fees until March 21 for a St. Patrick’s Day special, offering 60 to 70 animals that come spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccines and urging families to adopt as kitten and puppy births surge this spring (shelter at 6401 Bay Line Drive). WJHG
- ➤ Bay County Animal Control is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day adoption event — waiving fees for adoptable animals until March 21 — at its shelter at 6401 Bay Line Drive. Each adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, microchipping and vaccinations. WJHG

SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ North Bay Haven Charter Academy extended boys varsity soccer coach Michael McCumbers’ contract for four years and confirmed girls varsity coach Logan Graham will return for his sixth season as it expands the soccer program to nine teams + adds new freshman and middle school squads.
