- ➤ PCB Beach Safety is active this spring break as officials warn beachgoers to follow the flag system for swimming, with yellow signaling moderate hazards, single red indicating high risk, and double red meaning the water is closed. The team is recruiting seven full-time lifeguards (four 10-hour shifts per week) to ease staffing challenges. WJHG
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 11th, Panama City introduced Bay Savor, a new 12-foot stormwater filter that removes debris from runoff before it enters Saint Andrew Bay. Officials will install the 17 filters along West Beach Drive after the Municipal Super Tuesday vote on April 22nd, with the $8 million project funded by a state grant—aimed at improving bay health.
