- ➤ The Kiwanis Club will host its 65th annual Pancake Breakfast from April 3rd to April 5th at Forest Park Church Fellowship Hall at 1401 Lisenby Ave, with hours of 6 am to 9 am on Thursday and Friday and 7 am to 10 am on Saturday—tickets cost $7.00—and proceeds will benefit local children and school programs. - ➤ On Monday, March 17th, a fire broke out at Gulf Crest Condominiums in Panama City Beach when an oven sparked a towel during a kitchen remodel and strong winds spread the flames upward—fire crews reported one minor injury and evacuated residents who later found shelter with friends. - ➤ Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford arrested three individuals—Montierra Turner, Kyle Vallery, and Ashanti Williams—on March 6 for their roles in an armed robbery and false imprisonment that occurred on March 2 at Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort during a family celebration, and authorities say three other suspects remain at large. - ➤ Bay Arts Alliance will host a Spring Pup-alooza on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Center for the Arts lawn in downtown Panama City — where locals can bring their dogs for live music, an agility course, kids' arts and crafts, and a treat from the Gelato Love food truck. The event will also offer a clay paw print class that donates 10% of proceeds to a local animal rescue — with free art exhibits on display featuring works by Alberto Sprigatis as well as a duo show by Kelly McLendon and Jennifer Honeycutt and the Redfish Film Festival. - ➤ Panama City Symphony will end its 2024-25 Season on Saturday, April 12 with Music of the Cosmos at The Barbara W. - ➤ Officials issued a precautionary boil water notice for areas north of Side Camp Road and School Drive on both sides of Highway 79 after a temporary loss of water pressure occurred at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday—water was restored at 3:00 p.m. but discolored water may persist for 24 hours for residents, businesses, and West Bay Elementary School.
