CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Marwan Kamal Gordon, the 46-year-old stepfather of the suspect in the deadly Sunnyside Apartments shooting, was arrested in Walton County on Tuesday after police spotted the suspect's vehicle and made a felony stop on Highway 98—he admitted he helped his stepson and now faces charges of accessory to capital murder. - ➤ Growth near Tyndall AFB has brought more people to local shops and led Bay District Schools to plan a new school for increasing student needs. The nearly 100,000 square foot building with a large gym (expected to open by August 2028 at a $132 million cost) will serve the community. WJHG
- ➤ Bay District Schools approved a strategic plan for 2025-2030 on March 25 that focuses on community engagement, student readiness, talent support, educational structures, and academic achievement.
