- ➤ Colorado State University forecasters predict the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season will have 17 named storms, 9 hurricanes, and 4 major hurricanes — and warn there is an above-average chance that a major hurricane will hit the U.S. or Caribbean. - ➤ FDOT will close Brook Forest Drive on the south side of the Highway 390 intersection beginning Monday, April 7 for a Mills Bayou Bridge replacement project, and drivers will use 43rd Street and Transmitter road until early 2026 — construction crews ask motorists to obey a 30 mph speed limit.
