Good morning, Panama City.

On Saturday, the Panama City Police Department held its 5th annual bicycle rodeo at Oakland Terrace Park, where local children learned proper bike handling and road safety from officers.

The event offered free bikes donated by Target and Walmart and featured games, obstacle courses, live music—and free food provided by Newk’s Eatery and the city.

Authorities are responding to a brush fire on Star Avenue and Tram Road — the Bay County Sheriff’s Office said smoke has reduced visibility and redirected traffic westbound at Star and NEHI, with officials uncertain how long delays may last.
