- ➤ On Sunday morning at Hiland Park, local man Johnny Turner was shot multiple times while checking on his daughter when suspect Dwayne Reeder entered a home and fired a gun—Turner is undergoing surgery in Panama City and Reeder, who suffered a wrist injury, faces charges including attempted murder. - ➤ Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford said on Sunday that on Friday a pregnant inmate at Bay County Jail suffered a medical emergency while sleeping and although staff and emergency responders acted quickly, she and her unborn child died — his office is investigating the cause and has extended condolences to the family.
