- ➤ Colorado State University forecasters predict the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season will feature 13 named storms and Florida faces a 74% chance of a storm passing within 50 miles — coastal residents are advised to prepare as conditions remain uncertain. Panama City News Herald
- ➤ The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission advises residents to call the free Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-FWC-GATOR if an alligator shows up in a yard or pool.
