- ➤ Bay County Sheriff's Office arrested Latrance Battle on April 10 after she impersonated an ICE agent by wearing a black shirt with ICE printed on it, using a Sheriff's Office business card and handheld radio, and taking a victim’s phone during a kidnapping at Bridge Plaza Apartments—authorities said the victim believed she was being helped to gain legal status. - ➤ The Bay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Latrance Battle on April 10 for posing as an ICE agent and kidnapping a local resident at Bridge Plaza Apartments+ the victim escaped when Battle left her workplace and went into the building alone. My Panhandle

- ➤ Emergency crews are working to contain a 20-acre brush fire on Hauser Road in Bay County — no evacuation orders are in place and structures are at risk, with six ground and one aerial support unit en route. WJHG

- ➤ The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a health alert after finding pork carnitas sold at Aldi, produced by Cargill Meat Solutions on April 1-2, might be contaminated with metal from damaged equipment. Florida shoppers with packages marked with use-by dates 06/30 or 07/01 are advised to discard or return the product. Panama City News Herald
