- ➤ Bay County leaders say House Bill 7033 and House Bill 1221 could end local tourism marketing by shifting Tourism Development Tax funds to general purposes—threatening local jobs, events, and beach renourishment projects. Representative Griffitts and Chamber of Commerce President Patrick Chapin stressed that local control over tourism funds is vital—raising debate as the bill heads to the House floor. WJHG
- ➤ Starting May 7, 2025, Florida residents over 18 must have a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or state ID to board flights or enter federal facilities, and those without proper documents will need to provide alternate federal identification.
