- ➤ Panama City will host the July 4th Salute Freedom festival from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM downtown and along St. Andrews Bay, featuring live music, family activities, food trucks, and a fireworks display at 9:00 PM. - ➤ An estimated 50,000 motorcyclists have come to Panama City Beach for the spring Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally—held at Frank Brown Park, the Harley-Davidson dealership, and near Sharky’s Restaurant on Front Beach Road. Officials ask drivers to be extra careful on U.S. 98, Back Beach Road and State Road 390 due to more traffic and active work zones, and a 'Back the Blue' parade honoring fallen officers will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. from Beef O’ Brady’s parking lot. - ➤ Bay County will host several yard sales this weekend from May 2 to 4 offering locals opportunities to buy and sell items. - ➤ On April 10th, 2025, BCSO deputies responded to Bridge Plaza Apartments after a victim reported being kidnapped by Latrance Battle—who posed as an ICE agent, snatched her phone, and was later arrested on charges including kidnapping and impersonating a law enforcement officer. - ➤ David Earl Gipson, accused of brutally attacking two women and beating a victim’s relative in Washington County, appeared in court on Wednesday and was denied bond — he faces charges of aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, sexual assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping and may also face murder charges. - ➤ Downtown Panama City is hosting its annual Star Wars Week celebration with free family events that began April 30 and will run through May 4.
