GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A U.S. Congressman said he is reviewing the impact of Spirit Airlines' shutdown on travel options for our community and will meet with officials to address concerns. He expects to discuss plans that may help restore service soon. WJHG
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Panama City Beach will host the 44th IRONMAN 70.3 Gulf Coast on May 9 with about 1,800 athletes competing in a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run. Race officials said key roads, including Front Beach Road (6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), will see traffic changes as contingency plans are in place for bad weather. Panama City News Herald
