  • Panama City Beach will host its 20th annual free Summer Concert Series at Aaron Bessant Park from June 5 through August 7 with local and regional bands playing every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the family-friendly concert series—city officials said themed nights and food vendor details will be announced soon.  Panama City News Herald

  • The Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigated a reported stabbing at Shunk Gully Oyster Bar in Santa Rosa Beach late Saturday night—both employees were involved in a fight in the parking lot where one suffered a non-life-threatening knife wound and the suspect, a Jamaican on a work visa whose passport was flagged by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, fled the scene as Panama City Beach Police and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office were notified.  My Panhandle

  • Dee's Hangout, a local restaurant known for its Southern, coastal, and Cajun food (and its new Dee's Steam Pot for seafood dishes), was named No. 46 on Yelp's Top 100 Family Friendly Restaurants list. Owners Dee and Brenda Brown said the eatery has grown from a few tables in 2008 to a spot offering daily specials (including fried chicken Tuesdays and other favorites) that please both kids and adults.  Panama City News Herald
