  • Panama City teen Noah Cox, who is healing from severe burns — his Jeep burst into flames after a rear-end collision with a suspected DUI driver on May 6 — is receiving support from local community members and his church as he prepares for further surgeries at a nearby hospital.  WJHG

  • Newschannel 7's Movie Monday feature highlights the most anticipated summer films as producer Adrian Andrews and reporter Barry Lowin share details on upcoming releases for local viewers.  WJHG

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Bay District — with GCSC — will launch a Fire Academy at Rutherford High to offer training for firefighters. The program will start soon to boost local emergency readiness.  WJHG
  • Bay County School District is under investigation for alleged antisemitic discrimination as officials review complaints to determine if school policies were violated. The inquiry remains open while community feedback and evidence help shape next steps.  WJHG
  • IgniteSTEM (a city program for STEAM learning) hosted an egg drop challenge on May 8 at MLK Jr. Recreation Center where children aged 6 to 16 learned to engineer safe egg drops.  Panama City News Herald
