- ➤ During National Police Week, Tyndall Air Force Base hosted a demonstration where military working dogs and local police K-9 units showcased their skills on Wednesday. Officials said the event aimed to highlight capabilities and boost community support (featuring Kodi and robotic dog Karl). WJHG

- ➤ Panama City commissioners are reviewing the future of 38 parks to decide which need improvements versus divestment. The plan includes recommendations from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, an Adopt a Park program for community upkeep, and a workshop set for June 15 to guide final decisions. WJHG
- ➤ Gov. DeSantis announced Florida's new 140-day Gulf red snapper season and a 39-day Atlantic season starting May 22. The expanded permit allows local fishing companies to operate in state and federal waters and aims to boost the fishing industry along the coast. WJHG
