  • Today, the Woman’s Club of Panama City began renovating the Salvation Army’s domestic violence safe house by upgrading six bedrooms with new lighting and bedding to create a warm space for survivors. A charity bunco fundraiser—tickets cost $35 with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. at 350 North Cove Blvd—will raise $3,500 for the project.  My Panhandle

  • Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Boater Freedom Act (SB 1388) and House Bill 735 at Watson Landings Marina in Panama City on May 19—actions that aim to limit police stops on the water as state senator Jay Trumbull highlighted the bill at the event.  Panama City News Herald

SPORTS NEWS

  • Arnold baseball seniors captured their first regional title and then faced American Heritage in the Class 4A state semifinals on May 19—advancing them to the FHSAA Final Four in Fort Myers.
