- ➤ PennRose Farms recalled 1,152 cases of cucumbers sold in a 5-pound mesh bag repackaged with logos after Fresh Start Produce Sales alerted them that these may have been supplied by Bedner Growers amid a salmonella outbreak that sickened 26 people in 15 states. The FDA issued the notice on May 22 and advised consumers to throw out the produce — businesses were told to halt sales and notify customers. Panama City News Herald
