- ➤ An 86-year-old Port St. Joe man died after his vehicle struck a concrete island on Highway 98 near Airey Avenue — the impact sent his car into an overpass, and responders including Tyndall Air Force Base assisted before he was pronounced dead at a local hospital. WJHG
- ➤ The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on US 98 when an 86-year-old man from Port Saint Joe struck a concrete island after leaving the exit ramp to Airley Avenue at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday+ he was transported to Bay Ascension Sacred Heart where he was pronounced dead, with assistance from Tynadall Air Force Base. - ➤ Robert Bailey—previously found guilty of killing sergeant Kevin Kight on March 27, 2005—was again sentenced to death by Judge Shonna Gay at a Thursday hearing and will return to death row today in Raiford. WJHG

- ➤ AccuWeather forecasters are monitoring an area (in the northeastern Gulf) near Florida for possible tropical system formation from July 15 to 18 that could develop into a tropical depression or storm.
