- ➤ Panama City Ballet invites dancers of all levels to a casting call for its community production of The Nutcracker on Sunday, August 10th at 12:00 p.m. at Tonie's Dance Studio, 2342 Stanford Road, where every attendee will receive a role (casting call fee is $35); rehearsals begin on Sunday, September 7th and lead to December performances including a live orchestra rehearsal on December 10th, a special performance on December 11th at 6:00 p.m., a school show on December 12th at 10:00 a.m., and public performances through December 14th. - ➤ At Wednesday's Bay County Economic Development Alliance meeting, officials said Project Kilowatt—a marine manufacturing initiative making electric boats with composite materials—is in negotiation to create 285 jobs with nearly $31 million in capital while Project Forge, an early-stage aviation project, could add 1,400 jobs with a $250 million investment if it moves forward.
