- ➤ Casey Rattan, a Panama City Beach man, received a 15-year sentence for a fatal crash on Front Beach Road that killed Thomas Lyon (28) on August 2, 2024 when Lyon pushed his children and nephew to safety, and Rattan's license was revoked for life along with a $7,500 restitution order. - ➤ At Lynn Haven Elementary, the library is getting a full media center makeover with new floors, paint, lighting, and $40,000 in modern furniture—approved by assistant principal Stefanie Bohannon after noticing outdated features; the upgrades will be complete in the first quarter of the school year.
