  • Food Truck Festivals of America announced that the first Food Truck and Craft Beverage Festival will be held at the Publix Sports Plex in Panama City Beach on September 13th from 12 PM to 6 PM. CRIME NEWS

  • A Lynn Haven man was charged with DUI manslaughter after his SUV hit a 64-year-old motorcyclist on Thomas Drive on Aug. 24 at 1:20 a.m., killing the rider and critically injuring the passenger as he fled the scene before police detained him and set a $600,000 bond—Alexander Blair Morrison is the accused.  Panama City News Herald

  • VITAS Healthcare will present a check to FSU Panama City to start a new scholarship fund for its social work program on Sept. 3. The check will boost support for students in the social work field.  WJHG

  • Today, 36 scuba divers and volunteers from Panama City cleaned St. Andrews State Park—removing 383 pounds of trash from the jetties and nearby areas.  Panama City News Herald

  • Panama City Beach officials announced a plan today to curb teen trouble during spring break by supporting the Kids Online Safety Act and setting new curfews and ordinances during busy times. Tourist Development Council President Dan Rowe said the measures—designed to stop unsupervised takeovers and violence—will use social media and family messages to keep the beach safe.  My Panhandle
