- ➤ Three house fires have struck Bay County recently—an electrical fire on Aug. 31 destroyed GOP chairman Tho Bishop’s home and claimed two pets, another blaze at the Riverside subdivision left Ian and Catherine Bland staying in a hotel, and a fire on Ethlyn Road in Parker caused mainly exterior damage with the family evacuating safely.
