- ➤ Breast cancer survivors and supporters decorated golf carts in the annual Latitude Margaritaville parade in Panama City during breast cancer awareness month; founder Amy Walsh—of Fore Her decorated her cart in memory of her mother and aunt to raise funds for living expenses for patients undergoing treatment. - ➤ Guardant Health has launched the Shield blood test — an FDA-approved, less invasive option that can detect colorectal cancer with 83% sensitivity for patients aged 45 or older. Doctors say early detection with this test may help improve survival rates by catching the cancer sooner. My Panhandle
- ➤ Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast has partnered with the Florida Department of Health to launch the Telehealth Maternity Care Program to help mothers in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties access free patient navigation for baby supplies, transportation and mental health care—supporting care before, during and after birth. FDOH will allocate $3 million statewide to support the program and address higher maternal and infant morbidity and mortality rates. My Panhandle
