- ➤ Panama City Implants and Periodontics is hosting its 3rd annual Christmas Donation Drive benefiting veterans at Chester Sims—hygiene items and new clothing are accepted at 2240 W 24th Street. Natasha and Kori explained how locals can help with the drive—ensuring veterans get the supplies they need. WJHG
- ➤ The Optimist Club of the Beaches will host its Annual Christmas Parade on December 13 starting at Sharkey's restaurant and finishing near Dave and Buster's at the Pier Park area—Panama City residents can join to celebrate the holiday season. WJHG
- ➤ The Festival of Trees returns for its 7th year and will take place Saturday November 22 at Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort to benefit the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center and Anchorage Children’s Home — guests will enjoy holiday food, drinks, and live music as they bid on trees that will be delivered fully assembled and decorated to their homes. - ➤ Cortney Michaud from the Lynn Haven Animal Shelter showed off Tina (a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix) who is available for adoption. Michaud advised that she is best suited for a home without other pets or small children. WJHG
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A new micro-comedy series titled Panhandle Princess will film in Panama City Beach this spring — the show follows a 50-year-old bartender and spotlights local life. Creator Tam Taylor turned down a $100,000 studio offer to keep production in town. WJHG
- ➤ Kaleidoscope Theatre in Lynn Haven is staging Disney’s 'Descendants: The Musical' starting Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.—with additional shows on Nov. 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30 at 2:30 or 7:30 p.m. at 207 E. 24th St., the lively musical brings Disney’s villains and their children to the stage in a performance full of energy and humor. - ➤ North Bay Haven Charter Academy students learned business tips when Bill Cramer and his sons spoke at an entrepreneurship lunch today at Florida State University Panama City campus—he advised them to research thoroughly before starting a business. The dealership, which employs 118 people, plans to expand to Panama City Beach in the future. My Panhandle

- ➤ Bay County held a Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 11 at the County Government Center—residents honored local veterans with a parade, wreath ceremony, live music, and a helicopter flyover. Panama City News Herald
- ➤ Bay County Chamber of Commerce welcomed the USS Pierre command team at Hotel Indigo and is now preparing for the ship’s commissioning at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Port Panama City — it will depart on Monday for San Diego to join the active U.S. Navy fleet. My Panhandle

- ➤ During the Nov. 3-9 inspections, officials reported that Bella Roma Tuscan Grill, Chow Time Grill + Buffet, and Mr Bg's Diner in Panama City Beach had high-priority health violations like live roaches and unsafe food temperatures and must pass follow-up inspections to fix the issues. - ➤ PanCare hosted its annual Stand Up for Veterans event Tuesday and gave free dental care to more than 200 veterans at locations across the panhandle. Organizers said the event honored veterans by offering walk-in appointments for cleanings, fillings, extractions and exams, with some sites also providing flu shots. My Panhandle
