- ➤ Holly Fair 2025 returns to Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort for its 35th year, running from November 13 until November 16 and featuring a preview party at the Edgewater Convention Center (11212 Front Beach Road), a champagne brunch today, and a children’s event to conclude the festivities on November 16. - ➤ Cops 'N Kids is scheduled for Saturday in Panama City and will give families a chance to meet local police officers—trusted community heroes. This event offers a unique opportunity for residents to interact with those who serve and protect their neighborhoods. WJHG
- ➤ St. Andrews State Park and Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park announced holiday events coming soon. The parks will offer a 25% discount on glamping tent rentals from Nov 27 to Dec 3, a Christmas buffet on Dec 25, and plans for New Year’s Eve dinner — all managed by Adventures Unbound. - ➤ Rebuild Bay will host its Thanksgiving Meal Box Distribution initiative on November 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to help local families enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal. - ➤ The News Herald is running a poll from Nov. 9 until noon on Nov. 15—asking fans to pick which new artist from Zach Bryan, Ella Langley, Zach Top, Beyonce, or Taylor Swift should debut at the Gulf Coast Jam. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Navy's final Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship, USS Pierre, will be commissioned this weekend at the Port of Panama City—an event expected to draw over 3,500 people. The ship and its crew of more than 100 members will begin their journey to San Diego next week for upgrades before their first deployment. My Panhandle
- ➤ After a 43-day shutdown, federal funds for SNAP benefits are expected to be released within 24 hours of the government reopening, and Florida residents who missed October payments will soon see distributions. The deal also funds WIC and other nutrition programs through September 2026—Florida SNAP recipients should keep meeting eligibility requirements to receive benefits. Panama City News Herald
