- ➤ Henry A. Davis Park at 1309 Roosevelt Ave. now has a Bankshot™ Court and GaGa Ball pit that let players of all ages enjoy new play features — part of a larger renovation that added picnic tables, a grill, a garden shed, a fence, and a bike repair station. The full renovation will be finished by April 2026 — when the city will hold a community ribbon-cutting to celebrate the upgrades. City of Panama City
- ➤ FPL and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bay County will give away 200 free five-foot Christmas trees with LED lights on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Clubs' Christmas Tree Lot — located at 2312 W. 23rd Street in Panama City. - ➤ Bay County commissioner Daniel Raffield said a new boat ramp will be built in Highpoint Park at a cost of $1.2 million. The project is set to begin soon and aims to improve boat access — a benefit for local residents. WJHG
- ➤ Bill Cramer, a Gulf Coast State trustee, was elected as the first chair of the Florida College System Council of Trustees on November 4 & he brings decades of leadership experience from serving on various GCSC boards. The council of over 200 trustees will work to expand student access and affordability & pursue a $70 million increase in recurring state funding for Florida state colleges. Panama City News Herald
- ➤ Harrison Avenue from Business 98/6th St. to Panama City Marina will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7 a.m. with a refreshed look and a new speed limit of 15 mph—reduced from 25 mph to enhance safety for pedestrians. City of Panama City
- ➤ Airport officials began construction on an 80,000 sq ft expansion that will add three new gates, move the baggage claim and relocate the TSA checkpoint while temporary roads were built for easier access—drivers should expect lane closures until work pauses from November 24th to December 2nd for holiday travel.
