- ➤ Every year, Re-Bath partners with United Way to give an ADA-approved shower remodel to a deserving veteran by asking the public to nominate a candidate; owner Mark Dufour said his father inspired the project and applications close on December 1 with the winner announced on Christmas Eve. WJHG
- ➤ On Tuesday, Florida Power and Light bought 200 five-foot Christmas trees from the Boys & Girls Club lot and gave them out with energy-efficient LED lights to local families. Volunteers trimmed trees and helped load them up—FPL said they hope to continue this first Bay County initiative throughout the holiday season and next year. My Panhandle
- ➤ Visit Panama City Beach will host its 10th Annual Beach Home for the Holidays this Thanksgiving weekend. The free two-day event will take place at Aaron Bessant Park (500 W Park Drive) and will include concerts, movie screenings, campfires, fireworks, a visit from Santa and a dog adoption event by Heartland Rescue Ranch. - ➤ The Panama City Theatre Company is presenting How The Grinch Stole Christmas at the Barbara W. Nelson Fine Arts Center with books and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin with contributions from Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss. Shows will run on Dec. 4th and 5th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Dec. 6th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. + on Dec. 7th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. My Panhandle

- ➤ Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is easing holiday travel by pausing terminal construction and offering extra shuttle service to manage overflow parking, said ECP Deputy Executive Director Richard McConnell. He warned that winter weather may slow down processing—urging travelers to plan ahead for smoother journeys over Thanksgiving weekend. WJHG
- ➤ On Nov. 25, the Panama City Fire Department held a training session that included a demonstration of the dangers of deep-frying an unthawed turkey—firefighters also completed rigorous physical drills by dragging dummies and using sledgehammers as part of their exercise. Panama City News Herald
