- ➤ Impact 100 Gulf Coast awarded transformational grants to nonprofits that support women and mothers seeking second chances through faith and expanded its programs into six Panhandle counties+ the move strengthens community support across the region. WJHG
- ➤ Club 360 will host Cocktails For A Cause on December 4 at 6 p.m. at Panama City Center For the Arts—raising funds for Girls Inc. of Bay County and Anchorage Children’s Home while featuring sommelier-curated fine wine, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment, and prize drawings for a designer purse and top-shelf spirit. - ➤ Panama City Rescue Mission is asking local leaders for support letters to help secure $4.5 million from the state to build homeless shelters on its property — Bay County Commissioners joined other local leaders by sending in their letter of support, and the mission will continue to serve those in need regardless of the funding outcome. - ➤ The Grand Boulevard Festival of Trees raised thousands for charities as 18 groups decorated trees to show their missions—each display reflected the unique goal of the organization. WJHG

- ➤ On December 2, Costa Family McDonald’s opened its 18th restaurant at 4530 Highway 390 East in Callaway—ribbon cutting took place at 9:30 a.m. and a celebration with the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and a band followed. Owner David Costa Jr. said the event added 54 jobs and the first 50 drive-thru customers received a year of free Happy Meals—offering fresh opportunities for the area. WJHG
