- ➤ Families celebrated organ, tissue, and eye donors on Dec. 3 when they made ornaments for the Tree of Life at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City — supported by local donor recovery groups. The event honored donors and added a festive touch to the hospital. Panama City News Herald
- ➤ The Ohana Institute is hosting a Holiday Night Market at 30Avenue in Inlet Beach on Dec. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. Vendors can register for $25 (with tables for an extra $10) to support local students’ education. WJHG
- ➤ Bay County celebrated its 16th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony last night, featuring live performances + festive holiday cheer for local residents. The event marked the start of the season as community members gathered for a bright display. WJHG

- ➤ Bay County Council on Aging CEO Beth Coulliette, who has served for 44 years, will retire soon after expanding senior programs including transportation and in-home care (her legacy remains a cornerstone of community support). New leadership will soon be selected to continue the agency's mission. WJHG

- ➤ Florida Public Utilities is partnering with Chipola Area Habitat for Humanity on the Cherry Street Rehab Project to provide affordable housing for local families. The project (a key community effort) aims to strengthen partnerships and ease access to secure homes. WJHG
