ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Port Panama City had a strong 2025 as increased cargo shipments contributed to a $1.6 billion economic impact on Bay County. Port officials will begin an east terminal expansion in 2026 that is expected to boost port-related jobs across the community. WJHG
- ➤ At a recent Economic Development Alliance meeting, two companies presented plans to relocate operations to Bay County: Silver Bullet, a construction materials firm needing rail + port access, and Celtics, a metals producer evaluating the area among other options; both are in early recruitment stages.
